How can a humidifier benefit your home?

Proper humidity levels in your home reduces annoying static electricity, dried cracked furniture and wood trim, and wilting house plants. You'll feel more comfortable as scratchy dry skin, throats, and noses are soothed. Properly humidified air feels warmer allowing you to turn down your thermostat a few degrees and reducing energy costs yet still feel comfortable.

General Operating Principles

Evaporation takes place as the heated air from the warm air plenum passes through the moisture laden evaporator pad. The pad is wetted by water metered through a solenoid valve and distributed over the pad by a distributor trough at the top of the humidifier carrying off troublesome minerals. Humidified air is then returned to the heating system to enter the living area.

These humidifiers can be controlled in one of three ways. A standard humidistat, a TrueIAQ digital control which offers precise control based on outdoor temperatures or using one of Honeywells whole house thermostats that can controle temperature, humidification, dehumidification and ventilation.
